Renato Troiani is an Italian professional rider and trainer whose program is shaped by European horsemanship and extensive experience on the American competition circuit. A respected figure within the equestrian community, Renato is known for elevating both horse and rider—at home and in the show ring—through thoughtful, modern training grounded in tradition.
Born and raised in Rome, Italy, Renato took his first riding lesson at the age of seven. From that moment on, horses became his singular focus. Unlike many riders in the United States who begin in the hunter discipline, Renato developed his career in Europe riding jumpers and eventing, competing nationally and internationally in Grand Prix competition. It wasn’t until he moved to the U.S. that he was introduced to hunters—a discipline that immediately resonated with him.
Today his focus is on developing horses, producing and showing horses for clients, and teaching riders at all levels.
His students have found success across the hunter and jumper rings
With a philosophy that embraces the evolution of the sport while respecting its roots, Renato is dedicated to nurturing his riders’ passion and helping shape the next generation of equestrians—remembering always that riders are not only athletes, but ambassadors of a deeper bond with the horse.
